| Main Results | The main results of the project are: Increased capacities of local self-governments to meet EU accession requirements Improved knowledge and capacity for the absorption of EU financial assistance within local self-governments Tailored information on EU policies, funds, and programmes made available to local communities Improved legal framework in the field of local self-government Enhanced communication and alignment of priorities between the central and local levels within the EU integration process The results will be achieved through activities such as: organizing trainings and capacity-building for local officials, establishing EU units at the local level, setting up thematic networks and mentoring schemes, creating informational “EU corners” in municipalities, as well as conducting promotional campaigns and public events, etc. |
