The water supply association of Montenegro (UVCG), in cooperation with the union of municipalities of Montenegro (UOM) and the ministry of ecology, sustainable development and northern region development, is organizing the Montenegro Water Conference, which will be held from 22 to 24 October 2025 in Budva., at hotel ''Mediteran''.
The conference programme begins at thursday, 23 October, at 9:30 a.m., with opening remarks:
- Milan Bulatović, president of the Water Supply Association of Montenegro (UVCG)
- Dr Jelena Borovinić Bojović, the Union of Municipalities of Montenegro (UOM)
- Lana Radunović, acting director general of the Directorate for ecology, Ministry of ecology, sustainable development and northern region development
- Nikola Jovanović, mayor of Budva
The aim of the conference is to bring together representatives of state institutions, local self-government authorities, public utility companies, international organizations and the private sector, with a view to exchanging experiences and good practices in the field of water resources management and water service development.
During the two working days of the conference, key topics from the water sector will be addressed, including:
- European integration and environmental quality,
- Projects in the water sector,
- Synergy among key stakeholders and institutional cooperation,
- The impact of climate change and the application of artificial intelligence in reducing water losses,
- As well as examples of good practice from the region and across Europe, including Portugal, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia.
The presentations are expected to attract particular interest the World Bank, UNICEF-a, as well as renowned companies in the field of water technologies from the United Kingdom, Germany, and the region..
The Montenegro Water Conference represents an important contribution to strengthening dialogue and cooperation within the sector, with the aim of improving the quality of water services and protecting the environment.
