The Union Secretary General is an executive body and it is responsible for the regularity of the Union work.
The Secretary General manages the Secretariat of the Union, represents the Union in legal transactions, executes decisions and other enactments of the Assembly and the Executive Board on the use and disposal of Union resources, prepares decisions proposals and other enactments adopted by the Executive Board and drafts of decisions and other enactments adopted by the Assembly, carries out and ensures execution of decisions and other enactments of the Assembly and the Executive Board and performs other activities in accordance with the Union enactments.
The Secretary General is responsible for its work and work of the Secretariat to the Executive Board. Term of office of the Secretary General is four years.
Union Secretary General is Refik Bojadžić.
Refik Bojadžić, born 21 April 1957 in Bijelo Polje.
Graduated on 1979 at the Law Faculty in Podgorica
Starting from April 1980, has been working in local administration bodies of the Municipality of Bijelo Polje.
In his rich career, he was the Labour Inspector, president of the Committee for Urbanism, Construction, Residential and Communal Services, member of the Executive Board of the Municipal Assembly of Bijelo Polje, Deputy Municipal Public Self-Government Attorney for municipalities of Bijelo Polje and Mojkovac, Director of the Public Utility for Residential and Communal Services “Lim” Bijelo Polje.
He has been elected for municipal councilor in four mandates since 1996.
He was Vice Mayor from 1996-2006, and President of the Municipal Assembly of Bijelo Polje form 2006-2012.
He was president of the Union’s Committee for Local Self-Government Development in two mandates.
He was a MP of the 24th session of the Parliament of Montenegro.
He was the laureate the highest municipal award “3rd January” for results achieved in development of the Public Utility for Residential and Communal Services “Lim” and for raising the quality of communal services and communal order in the city (1996).
He also awarded by the Union of Municipalities of Montenegro for contribution to the improvement of the local self-government system and for affirmation of the Union of Municipalities (2005).
He lives in Bijelo Polje with his wife Sabaheta, daughters Jasmina and Aida and son Jasmin.
