Training on “Development and implementation of EU projects”

naslovnaUpon the request of the Municipality of Herceg Novi, the Union of Municipalities, in cooperation with the Human Resources Authority Management, organized training on the topic of “Development and implementation of EU projects”. The training is being implemented in two parts, each lasting three working days.

The first part of the training was realized in Igalo from 4th to 6th November 2015.

Trainers were Mr.Darko Mrvaljevic, Team Leader for the project management in the Municipality of Danilovgrad, who is also the Coordinator of the Network of Municipal Project Managers and Ms.Sanja Todorovic, representative of the Joint Technical Secretariat for Cross border program Montenegro – Croatia. Teachers have extensive experience in developing and managing projects financed by EU funds.

The aim of the training is to strengthen the capacity of local governments to apply for EU funds for the realization of projects important to their development. The training was attended by 21 participants from the municipalities of Herceg Novi, Tivat, Bar and Ulcinj.

The training program was adjusted to the needs of paricipants and it covers all stages of the project cycle. The training was focused on practical work. Divided into four groups, participants developed concrete ideas from various areas: social and child protection, environmental protection, nautical tourism and road infrastructure. In this way, participants had the opportunity to go through all the stages of the project with practical exercises.

Continued training is planned for 23-25 November 2015, also in Igalo. Participants will, upon completion of the cycle, receive certificates on successful completion of training on the topic “Development and implementation of EU projects”.
