President of the Municipal Assembly of Kotor Maja Mršulja participated in the General Assembly of the League of Women Mayors of Romanian Municipalities, held from 26 to 29 June in Mamaia, located in Constanța County.
The event was organized by the Association of Municipalities of Romania, and the invitation to participate was extended to the Union of Municipalities of Montenegro.
Montenegro was represented at this important event by President Mršulja. In addition to her, representatives from Serbia, Ukraine, Moldova, Lithuania, Latvia, and Morocco attended the assembly, ensuring a broader European perspective and fostering international cooperation. The main objective of the gathering was to strengthen dialogue among members, exchange experiences and best practices in local government, and enhance networking at both the national and international levels.
Speaking at the assembly, Mršulja highlighted the challenges and importance of women’s leadership in Montenegro’s public life.
“Being a woman in a position of responsibility presents a multifaceted challenge, as it is only one of the many roles women perform on a daily basis. Nevertheless, it is precisely this complexity that serves as an additional source of motivation,” Mršulja emphasized.
