Montenegro has received its first comprehensive guide to investment opportunities across all of its municipalities – the publication *"Investment Potentials of the Municipalities of Montenegro"*, prepared by the Ministry of Diaspora and the Union of Municipalities of Montenegro. The publication sends a clear message that the country is ready to become a new destination for serious investors and partners from the diaspora.
The brochure provides an overview of resources stretching from the coast to the north: unspoilt nature, forests, and fertile land, as well as ports, energy potential, and modern transport infrastructure. Montenegro offers a stable legislative framework, a corporate profit tax rate of only nine per cent, and a wide range of fiscal and administrative incentives. For investors, this means a secure and predictable business environment, while for local communities it represents a new opportunity for growth and development.
Each municipality is presented through its distinctive strengths. The northern region is promoted as an emerging hub for ecotourism, energy, and agriculture. The central region offers industrial zones, logistics, and opportunities in the IT sector. The coast remains Montenegro's strongest asset, with significant potential in tourism, real estate, and luxury marinas. The publication also provides a clear overview of business zones that are ready to accommodate new investment projects.
Particular attention is devoted to the diaspora. The publication provides information on return investments, tax and customs incentives, employment subsidies, and favourable conditions for the use of land. The aim is to channel the capital, experience, and expertise of our people living abroad into local communities through sustainable projects and the creation of new jobs.
