Secretary General of the Montenegrin Red Cross Jelena Dubak and the Secretary General of the Union of Municipalities of Montenegro Mišela ManojlovićThe Secretary General of the Montenegrin Red Cross and the Secretary General of the Union of Municipalities of Montenegro signed a Memorandum of Cooperation today, recognising their shared interest in strengthening cooperation at the local level and the need to create an enabling environment in which local governments and local Red Cross organisations across Montenegro can consolidate and further develop their partnership and activities in providing support to citizens.
The Memorandum aims to strengthen cooperation between the two organisations and improve the position of local Red Cross branches, ultimately contributing to better living conditions for the citizens of Montenegro.
The Memorandum provides for cooperation in the development of new social and child protection services, the promotion of activities of mutual interest, and collaboration in other areas where the signatories identify shared or complementary objectives and activities.
In this context, cooperation at the local level will focus on providing support to children and young people who have previously been placed in institutional care at the Children's Home in Bijela.
These activities represent the first step in implementing the Memorandum and demonstrate the commitment and capacity of both parties to work together in the best interests of the most vulnerable groups in society.
