Call to the Municipalities and Utility Companies to Participate in the Project

5 November 2014 – German Agency for International Development (GIZ) through the Open Regional Fund for the Modernization of Municipal Services (MMS ORF) and with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) is implementing the project “Solid Waste Data Collection in South East Europe.”

The main objective of the project is that the public utility companies and municipalities in South East Europe build capacity for the effective use of data on collected, treated and disposed municipal waste.

The project will contribute to the capacity building of municipalities and public utility companies in the field of waste management and in the sharing of knowledge and best practices at the regional level. The project will be implemented in four countries of South-East Europe: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia and Serbia with a wide range of partners in each of the partner countries. Project implementation period is from 1st October 2014 to 28th February 2016.

We invite you, together with your public utility company, to apply for participation in the project, in order to be able to become one of the four municipalities that will be selected to participate in the project.

All information about the project, the application for participation and the criteria that municipalities and public utility companies need to meet, letters of intention forms, as well as procedures for the selection of municipalities and public utility companies you can find in the appendices of this call.

Please send your completed application submitted in the original to the Union of Municipalities of Montenegro not later than 20th November.
